There’s art, there’s students’ art and then there’s NAAKA. Which, we have to be honest – was one of the best Friday afternoons we had lately. People stepped up on the stage in the DJSS concourse, performed and gave their best to enchant an audience already sold on excellent coffee, fantastic desserts and surprisingly interesting art.
Under the supervision of three enthusiast teachers – Tracy Finstad, Karen Gelderman and Chris Irvine – name after name of soon-to-be celebrities and future local bands took the mic and sang, recited or put their guitars to good use. It was an overall successful event, which certainly gave an original twist to the monotony of every Friday evening’s flic.
