Arson suspected in two Hay River fires

Arson likely cause of Youth Centre fire: Potter The Hay River Youth Centre suffered damages early Saturday morning after a fire , believed to be arson, was started. According to Fire Chief Ross Potter, the Department received the call at 12:35 a.m. Saturday morning, and arrived on scene to see the Youth Centre on fire.

Bowling alley gets a makeover

This Friday, Hay River’s bowling alley will be open to the public, after a much awaited facelift. The centre received close to $150,000 worth of upgrades this summer which have brought the alley into the next decade. “If you don’t continuously update your bowling system you will get left behind,” said owner Brian Lefebvre.
