May court date for man charged with murder

Wilfred Buggins, 66,  made his first court appearance on Feb. 8 at the Yellowknife Territorial Court.
According to Shannon Smallwood, crown prosecutor, the matter was adjured until May 31, for Buggins to be spoken to.
Judge Bernadette Schmaltz made the decision, but it is unknown as to who will be overseeing the proceedings.

Buggins was charged with second-degree murder after the RCMP found a man dead in a cabin outside of Enterprise during the early hours of Feb. 5.
The deceased man, Raymond Cecil Buggins, 61, was the younger brother of Buggins.
The Hay River RCMP detachment along with the ‘G’ Division Major Crimes Units from Yellowknife  and officials from Alberta are still investigating the incident.
A post-mortem has also been ordered by the chief coroner of the NWT.
