Groups from Summer Heat, a town-run day camp for children, got a chance to tour the local police detachment last week, learning about what cops do in town.

“You can come to the police station when there’s an emergency, if you have any questions, or if you want to report a crime,” said Special Const. Steve Beck.

Kids got to see the holding cells, camera system, secure bay and even the back of a cop car in an experience that ideally will not be repeated under adverse circumstances.
