Hundreds of people flocked to the Hay River Reserve last weekend for one of the biggest events of the year.
K’amba Carnival is an annual fixture in the spring calendar and gives relatives from near and far a chance to get together to celebrate Dene culture and show it off to visitors.
“It’s all about pride and knowing where we came from,” said organizer Doug Lamalice. “It’s so good to see so many people out.”
