Local man charged with manslaughter

A Hay River man has been charged with manslaughter after an alleged altercation at a local bar. Mark Larsen, 28, has been charged in the death of 50 year-old Brent Darrell Nixon. He appeared in court on Aug. 18 in Yellowknife, where he was released on bail by Judge Robert Gorin.

ENR officials hopeful anthrax outbreak is winding down
