Not.

But then again – with the introduction of fitness videogames that allow people to “exercise” indoors, the little guys will soon roast marshmallows with the game controller in front of the TV. An improved phone with two cameras, 5 Mpx, flash, superb display, flat back, removable battery… and we could rant on the predicted (or verified) specs for hours.

Gizmodo’s link with video, the guts of the phone, lots of photos and a letter from the computer manufacturer after the jump.

It is a tale of a guy who had a welder, a bunch of credit cards, and a lot of free time but no real backing or funds. It is a story of a dude who taught himself how to build an FIA-legal roll cage because he wanted to spend the fabrication fee on race tires instead. It’s the story of a gearhead who drove a rustbucket to a third-place finish in an FIA-sanctioned event.”

Caswell actually entered the Mexico round of the World Rally Championship with a $500 1991 BMW 318i, a competition that boasts world renown racing pros. And low and behold, he actually placed 3rd.

MOVIE VIA diginfo.tv © 2010

We would love to have these printers here. There’s next to nothing in regard to paper recycling, at least for home users. Take a trip to the town’s dump, you will understand. And with this, enter Japan, the place where all good things come from.

ENGADGET: Inkless / tonerless printers aren’t exactly new, but here’s a more novel approach: inkless, tonerless, and completely reusable. The PrePeat rewritable printer is exactly that: using special paper made of PET plastic, you can make all the flowcharts and meeting notes you need, and when you want to start fresh, feed the paper back in to start fresh. Upfront cost is 500,000 yen (about $5,600 in US) for the printer and 300 yen for each sheet, in lots of 1,000 — which we’re taking to mean at least another 300,000 yen / $3,360 to get some use out of it. Each piece of paper is said to work about 1,000 times, but no word on how much (if any) history can be extracted from the materials — just keep that in mind should sensitive information be your daily trade. Video demonstration below.

Steve Job’s introduction of the iPad, January 27, 2010 @ Yerba Buena

“Let’s go back to 1991, when we first shipped our Powerbooks. The first with a TFT screen, the first with palm rests, and had an integrated pointing device. Just a few years ago in 2007 we reinvented the phone… and a few years later we got the iPhone 3GS.”

“SO all of us use laptops and smartphones… the question has arisen; is there room for something in the middle. We’ve wondered for years as well — in order to create that category, they have to be far better at doing some key tasks… better than the laptop, better than the smartphone.”

“What kind of tasks? Browsing the web. Doing email. Enjoying and sharing pics. Watching videos. Enjoying music. Playing games. Reading ebooks.”

“If there’s gonna be a third category, it has to be better at these tasks — otherwise it has no reason for being.”

“Now some people thought that was a netbook — the problem is that netbooks aren’t better than anything!”

“We think we’ve got something that is better. And we call it the iPad.”
